THE HONEYMOON
It took us while to decide where to go for our honeymoon. Since September is in the middle of hurricane season, our choices were limited since we did not want to take the chance of booking something in the Caribbean and then having to cancel due to the weather. So we looked at a great many places, from a Mediterranean cruise through the Greek Islands to a little cabin up in the Canadian Rockies. Since we both love to travel, it was difficult choosing one place! But after much research, we decided on a week in Costa Rica!
This country sits in the rainforests of Central America and it's perfect for us because Costa Rica is one of the most biologically diverse regions on the planet. Here you can encounter oceans, beaches, rivers, mountains, volcanos and an abundance of wildlife. Not to mention they make great coffee there! We want to best of both worlds, so that we can relax one day and the next day go explore the rainforests, or go snorkeling in the Pacific Ocean.
We are flying into San Jose, which sit at the North central part of Costa Rica. The first three nights we are staying at Peace Lodge in the La Paz Waterfall Gardens in their Deluxe Rooms.
After that we are flying to the Osa Peninsula where we are staying 4 nights at the Lapa Rios Rainforest Lodge in a beautiful open air bungalow.
